Bus torched during protest against target killing in Karachi


KARACHI:Escalating violence and incidents of targeted killings in Karachi prompted people took to the streets on Friday as nation marked Iqbal Day here on Friday, Geo News reported.
According to reports, people belonging to a religious organization Pasban-e-Aza protested at the Numaish Roundabout at city’s main thoroughfare M.A Jinnah Road.
The protesters turned violent and hurled stones as police resorted to aerial firing and tear gas to disperse them.
The demonstrators set a bus on fire and blocked the road by burning tyres.
