BEIJING: NINE people were killed and 19 injured in a 36-vehicle pileup at 9am yesterday in Anshun, southwest China’s Guizhou Province on the Hukun Expressway, police said. The accident occurred at about 9 am on the Hukun (Shanghai - Kunming) expressway in Anshun City. 36 vehicles involved in the accident, and seven of them burst into flames.
Among the 19 injured seven in critical condition have been sent to hospital for treatment.
Relevant departments are investigating the cause of the accident.
