LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Nawaz Sharif has stated that dialogues are only way forward to resolve issues between Pakistan and India, Geo News reported.
Nawaz Sharif expressed these views while talking to Indian Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in Raiwand.
Nawaz said during his past regime, Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Pakistan in friendship bus, adding that a journey of peace had been started but a dictator, with his unconstitutional step, completely destroyed it.
PML-N chief stressed that both the countries should resolve their bilateral issues through serious dialogues.
He said politicians of Pakistan and India have to play their role for long lasting peace in the region.
Indian Dy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal said he is very happy on his arrival in Pakistan, adding people of both the countries are connected with love.
