5 dead as gory incidents of targeted killings continue in Karachi

KARACHI: Violence in Karachi continued unchecked on Friday as five more people were shot dead in different parts of the country’s commercial hub, Geo News reported.
As the nation marked Iqbal Day , the gory incidents of targeted killing continued to haunt the city with gunmen shooting people in Mauripur, Shersha, Gulzar Hijri and Rehri Goath and Korangi.

According to details, a man, identified as Niaz Khan, was shot dead by armed persons in Shershah area of the city while two others were shot and injured in the same locality .
Another man was killed in Rehri Goth. The deceased was identified as Shah Nazir.
A woman’s body was recovered from the drain at 51-D area of Korangi. Late at night, one person was gunned down in targeted attack in Gulzar-e-Hijri area. The victim was identified as Anwar, 35.
