LAHORE: World Mental Health Day will be observed on October 10 throughout Pakistan like elsewhere in the world.
This year's theme is "Depression: A Global Crisis."
In Lahore, Punjab Institute of Mental Health has arranged a seminar, which will be presided over by the Provincial Education Minister Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman.
According to World Health Organisation, the day promotes open discussion of mental disorders, and investments in prevention, promotion and treatment services. Depression affects more than
350 million people of all ages, in all communities, and is a significant contributor to the global burden of disease.
