ASI killed during encounter in Raiwind

LAHORE: An assistant sub-inspector was killed and a security guard got injured during an encounter with robbers in Raiwind, Geo News reported Thursday.
According t police, the encounter took place in the Sui Gas Employees Housing Society of Raiwind where four armed robbers entered a house. While the security guard was combating and resisting the robbery, the patrolling police also reached the site.
As soon as the culprits came to know about the police arrival, they opened fire that killed ASI Fayyaz Ahmed and wounded the security guard named Imran.
The dacoits managed to escape from the scene while the injured guard was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
