Two Nawaz-League MNAs join PPP


KARACHI: Two Members of the National Assembly belonging to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz have joined the ruling Pakistan People’s Party, Geo News reported Saturday.

Raja Afzal, father of two MNAs Raja Asad and Raja Safdar, flanked by PPP stalwart Syed Khurshid Shah and Faryal Talpur told a press conference held at the Bilawal House that they had decided to join the PPP. However, he parried a question as to why they parted their ways with the PML-N.

Earlier, Geo News anchor and veteran journalist Hamid Mir described the lattes political development as pre-emptive move by the ruling party

He said the PPP pre-empted a PML-N move by inviting some of latter’s MNAs to presidential camp office Bilawal House in Karachi as some PPP legislators were also mulling over to join the Nawaz-league.
